Dogs And Meat By-Products

Is your Kibble loaded with By-Products

There is a lot of misinformation and concern regarding the understanding and use of meat by-products. Actually the term itself is a misnomer since these by-product contain little, if any meat. These by-products are the parts of the animal left over after the meat has been stripped away from the bone. Chicken by-products include heat, feet, entrails, lungs, spleen, kidneys, brain, liver, stomach, bones, blood, intestines, and any other part of the carcass not fit for human consumption. Another reason for the concern over using this material is that there are parts used that the pet food industry would not like you to know about – such as abscesses and cancerous tissue. Feeding this type of material to your pet increases the chances for cancers and degenerative diseases.

Our philosophy at BARF World regarding ingredient sourcing follows the same rules as the human ingredient standards. If it is good enough for us to eat then I feel it is fine for our pet companions.
