Grain Based Dry Dog and Cat Food Exposed

Never in my 32 years of manufacturing and selling raw food diets have I seen such an exposure of wrong doing. The recent Menu foods lawsuit has exposed the dry food industry to total scrutiny and wrong doing. The lawsuit is over 100 pages and it names all the major players involved in the scandal. The plaintiffs are alleging that the dry food companies have completely defrauded the public and have made claims and statements that are totally bogus and untrue. Their scientific studies that have been the support and foundation for their claims have been blown out of proportion and the lack of scientific evidence for the nutritional value of the food has been a serious violation of confidence and trust. The exposed level of carbohydrate content and use of noxious toxins have created a health scandal of gigantic proportions. The epidemic result of medical maladies exists today as a result of these ‘experiments ” in the use of garbage byproducts of the human food chain. Today the veterinary clinics are merely treating the symptoms of this experiment and if not corrected we will find that in years to come we will face the resultant medical conditions that are crippling the younger generations. We face similar conditions with the effects of human nutrition and the fast food syndrome. We are in Carbohydrate overload for ourselves and our pets. The Menu foods law suit is a visible example of the pending problems we have in feeding our pets. The suit clearly describes the abuse and mistrust that has resulted from the death of thousands of prized family pets. The magnitude of this recall is just the tip of the iceberg. The recall has shattered the confidence and trust that the consumer has had in these products. This law suit is a fantastic description of the how, what, why and when of the pet food scandal. The companies are now exposed to the violation of trust and well being promises that they have spent millions of dollars creating. It is time to become knowledgeable about how they have done this and what you can do to prevent them from continuing this cover up. Some 80 plus years ago the companies involved in this recall were busy formulating how they could generate millions of dollars by utilizing the garbage and by-products of the human food chain. They succeeded in developing a marketing bonanza and have created a mega-billion dollar industry that has convinced the public of the safety and nutritional value of their products.  The tide has now turned and more and more people are now conscious of what they are feeding their prize companions and they are wanting more education on the right and proper foods that they require. This exposure to the dry, heat processed dog and cat food industry  will become the platform for pet food reform. More and more consumers will base their decisions on acquiring more knowledge and they will use more common sense to formulate how their carnivorous pet should be fed. BARF World has a long history of manufacturing and selling raw food diets and firmly believes in the evolutionary diet concept. Feeding an appropriate diet creates an important advantage to general good health and strengthening the immune system. The secret to good health involves the build up of the immune system and preserving the all-important enzyme reserves.

  1. Thanks for the visit of my site. I truly believe this is the way we should be feeding our pets, cats as well as dogs. I also have my 3 cats on the raw food diet. I’m going to put a link to your site on my blog. If you wouldn’t mind doing so with mine, it would help us spread the word. I’ll also mark you as a favorite at Technorati. Every little bit helps I’m told. Keep up the good work.

Thanks for this article. I run a training class and amazingly the worse behaved dogs are nearly always the kibble fed ones. I’m always trying to get people to at least try a raw diet but some people just don’t want to know.
I’ve only been feeding a barf diet for 5 1/2 years but am a total convert, my dogs look great as do my cat and her barf reared kitten.
