“Egg-citing” Facts about Eggs for Your Dog

Published on April 8, 2012 by in BARF, Nutrition

Happy Easter! Today, among other celebrations here at BARF World we want to celebrate the importance of the egg, and we find that the egg has lived up to its reputation as one of Nature’s finest ingredients. It continues to provide a multitude of important benefits in support of the body’s metabolism. In fact the egg is the standard when nutritionally comparing all other ingredients in a diet.

Eggs are the ULTIMATE digestible food ingredient on the planet.

As I mentioned in my book, “Living Enzymes: The World’s Best Kept Pet Food Secret”, the single most digestible ingredient, for humans or pets, is the raw egg. Studies show that eating raw egg protein is much more digestible than cooked egg and contains higher amounts of the nutrient, biotin which helps support a healthy skin and coat.

Biotin also offers great benefits to pet and humans that suffer from diabetes as it helps the body regulate blood sugar levels and reduce cholesterol levels as well.

So you can see why we have decided to include raw egg in the BARF Diet formulation. The egg has so many healthful benefits for our pets as well as ourselves that it one ingredient we just couldn’t leave out.

But recent research done by ESM Technologies has shown another great benefit that the egg has to offer. Clinical tests have confirmed that the eggshell membrane used as a supplement is a safe, effective treatment of pain and stiffness associated with osteoarthritis. Eggshell membrane provides natural sources of Glucosamine, Hyaluronic acid, Chondroitin sulfate, Collagen and Calcium.

Pets that are fed BARF World’s complete and balanced BARF Diet patties and nuggets are already benefitting from the amazing combination of natural, raw ingredients in the diet – eggs included.
Is it any wonder that it is called the “Incredible, Edible Egg”?

If you are looking for a natural eggshell membrane supplement to use yourself, check out Vita Join Relief. Created in a convenient capsule form, taking one capsule daily as directed can help improve your mobility significantly within the first 10 days of supplementation.
