live without water

For the next few weeks I will be writing about water and the importance of water for our very existence. Every week, I will address a different function and when I am finished you will gain a completely different opinion from what you currently have about the use of water or the lack of water as it pertains to the body.

For today, let’s investigate the role of water in the body. The human body is composed of about 70% water and 30% solids. For normal metabolic activity to happen, the cells must be at least 65% water. Water’s main functions are to:

  • Dissolve nutrients
  • Transport nutrients to the cells
  • Remove waste
  • Remove Toxins
  • Activate cellular energy

Water is the most important nutrient in the body because it is responsible for so many different functions and for the activation of cellular functions by other nutrients. When the nutrients that we ingest reaches the cells, water is necessary for the cells to function, maintain, build, and repair. The flow of water or the lack of this flow is directly related to the cellular activity.

Each week, I will address the different functions of water in the body and most importantly I will address the importance of water or hydration for ourselves as well as our pets.

I will be offering my opinions on:

  • why dogs that are being fed dry processed kibble are in a constant state of dehydration.
  • why your dog or cats medical conditions are caused as a result of dehydration.
  • why it is important to use the right kind of water
  • what hydrates and what doesn’t.

Watch for these opinions every week.
